Obituary:  Gaffney-Joe Wheeler Williams, 54, of Gaffney Route 3 died at the home of his nephew, Logan Scruggs of Gaffney Route 2 Sunday night at 9:45 after an illness of 10 weeks. He had been in declining health for serveral months. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 4 pm at New Pleasant Baptist Church by the Revs. Floyd D Loudermilch, Melvin Flynn and E.W. Buckner. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at the home of his nephew on Gaffney Route 2. Cousins will serve as pallbearers.
Surviving are one brother, William H. Williams of Gaffney and a sister, Mrs. Viola Scruggs Bloodworth of Gaffney Route 3. Shuford- Hatcher Funeral Home is in Charge of Arrangements.

Obituary:  Gaffney-- John C. ( J. C.) Williams, 64, Highway 11, died March 3, 1994, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center . A native of Ckerokee County , he was the son of Myrtle Williams of Gaffney and the late Parley Williams. He was a member of New Pleasant Baptist Church and was owner of Williams Tire. Also surviving are two daughters, Doris Godfrey of Inman and Joyce Wyatt of Cowpens; three sons, Jimmy and Eddie Williams of Mayo and John C. Williams Jr. of Cowpens; a brother, James Williams of Gaffney; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 tonight at the Forest Lawn Mortuary, Chesnee. The family is at the home of his mother, Myrtle Williams.

Services 4 today at Buck Creek Baptist Church by the Revs. Vernon Bishop, Hubert Finley and Curtis Daniel; burial in church cemetery with Masonic rites. Pallbearers: Ray, Glen and Donald Williams, Winfred and Harold Elder, Jimmy Hines; Masons will form honorary escort. Body at the home after 9 a.m.; in church at 3.
