Obituary:  MONTICELLO--April Anne Williams 29, of Ocoee, Florida, formerly of
Monticello, died August 27, 1997, at Ocoee.

Born February 6, 1968, at Little Rock, she was a daughter of James W. Abston
and Barbara White Abston, both of Monticello.

She was a Wal-Mart pharmacist and a member of First United Methodist Church
at Monticello.

Other survivors include her husband, Bill Williams; and a brother, J. Alan
Abston of Little Rock.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stephenson-Dearman
Funeral Home in Monticello with the Rev. Bill Elliott and Rev. Gordon Donham
officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello.

Obituary:  Arch Williams Dies Following Short Illness. Arch Calvin Williams, 54, an employee of the Gaffney Manufacturing Company, died about 11:30 o'clock Friday night at his home at 1004 North Limestone street following an illness of several days. Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon at the chapel of the Shuford-Hatcher Company by the Rev. Clarence Hampton, assistant pastor of the Cherokee Avenue Baptast church, Interment was in the Williams cemetery near Cowpens Battle ground with the Shuford-Hatcher Company, morticians, in charge.

The pall bearers were Hobert Whisonant, Dave Crawford, Stuart Fowler, Charles Ballard and Fred and D.D. Martin Members of Modoc Tribe No. 20, Improved Order of Red Men, to which Mr. Williams belonged, served as honorary pall bearers.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae Posey Williams; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Parker. Of Lawndale , N.C. ; and the following brothers; Lloyd Parris, of Morganton , S.C. , and Joe Black and Robert Burgin, of Gaffney.

Obituary:  Chesnee- Arthur Edward Williams, 80, of 5097 Chesnee Highway , died March 12, 1992, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center . A native of Chesnee, he was the husband of Trannie Estelle Cash Williams of the home and son of the late Charlie C. and Eva Cash Williams. He was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church where he was chairman of the cemetery committee for many years and former deacon. He was retired from Drayton Mills.

Also surviving are three sisters, Imogene Davis of Chesnee, Melissa Giles of Converse and Joyce Huskey of Spartanburg ; and one brother, Adrian Williams of Chesnee.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Chesnee. Services Will be at 3 p.n. Saturday at Piedmont Baptist Church by Revs. Dale Barrington, Larry Fleming and Grady Cline. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to Piedmont Baptist Church , Chesnee Highway , Chesnee , S.C. 29323

Obituary:  Gaffney-Mrs. Artie Martin Williams, 81, of Gaffney Route 3 died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in Cherokee Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of Henry Williams who died in 1941.
Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Jesse and Rachel Westbook Martin and a lifelong resident of Cherokee County . She was a member of the New Pleasant Baptist Church . Funeral services will be held at New Pleasant Church Friday at 3:30 p.m. by the Revs. E.W. Buckner and W.J. Sprinkle. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery .

Surviving are five sons, Forest, Parley, James Carlos and Curtis Williams all of Gaffney Route 3 and Jessie Williams of Mayor; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Orr of Gaffney Route 3; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Henry Martin and Roland Martin of Rock Hill; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Martin Godfrey of York.

The body will be at the home after 9 a.m. today. Shuford- Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge.
