section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they
are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall
you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either
have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!

I am the great-granddaughter of William Walker Williams and Lucinda (Shepard) Williams. My grandfather, Williams Thomas Williams (known as "T. Williams"), and his brother, (John) Henry Williams came from Illinois and homesteaded in Kansas in 1872. My grandfather stayed, Henry did not and went back to Illinois. He possibly ended up in Texas, somewhere near Austin. I would like to know what happened to Henry. Henry's birth date is possibly January 15, 1845. Other children of Walker and Lucinda Williams were James P., Robert, Betsey, Martha Jane, Alzira, Mary E, Sarah Lucinda, Alfred, Alice.

I am looking for anyone who is researching Williams families in Saratoga county, New York. I know this is vague but my ancestor Oren Williams was born there in 1822. I have no information about his parents. In 1850 he was enumerated in Eagle, Wyoming county, New York in the same household as a female Fanny Williams and her son Lyman S. Williams. The relationship between Fanny and Oren is not apparent except that they were probably not married due to an age difference. Fanny could have been his mother, sister, aunt, etc. Orens wife Adeline Williams was enumerated with Kenney Grover, her father in the 1850 census in Eagle, Wyoming county, New York.

ok My father's mother Myrtle J Williams born in 1927 was the daughter of James and Beatrice Williams born 1899 and 1904 respectively.. James was the son of Almeade Williams (1859-1929) and Mary Marlanee (1863-1940). Almeade was the son of William H Williams (1832-1870) and Sarah J Williams (1840 - 1870) I do not know Sarah J or Beatrice's maiden names unfortunately and now I am stuck.

My final Williams puzzle:
Mary Williams, b. Feb 1798, Virginia, d. Oct 1874, Cantril, Van Buren, Iowa.
m. John Cantril July 1820, possibly Kentucky, or Champaign Co, Ohio.
Nine children, eldest being son William Williams Cantril. This leads me to believe Mary was a daughter of a William Williams, possibly a Virginian born between about 1765 and 1780.
My lineage is possible William Williams -> Mary Williams and John Cantril -> Francis Asbury Cantril and Margaret Bingamon -> Mary Jane Cantril and George Wick -> Daisy Mae Wick and Elmer Ellesworth Savage (great grandson of Susannah Bolling Williams of my previous post) -> Mary Madeline Savage (adopted Ellis) and Charles Clark Smith _> Michael Clark Smith and Elizabeth F Klatt -> Janelle Elizabeth Smith

My grandmother was Callie Mae Williams (Sherrow). She was born 1 April 1888 in Jessamine, KY. Her father was James Harrison Williams, born 17 June 1859 in Jessamine, KY and her mother was Nancy Jane (Nannie Louise) Padgett born after 1850 and died 1893. I can't find either of them anywhere. If anyone has any information on either of them, i would appreciate it. Thank you.
