Williams Lineages Underway

  This section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!

   And, as another improvement to the site, you can now add your own lineage to the list without having to email me directly! Simply visit the lineage submission form and follow the instructions! It's as easy as that!

Elisha Sr. was listed in Franklin Co., Ga. 1830 & 1840. He purchased land in Franklin Co., Ga. in 1820.

Trying to find where in NC this Elisha Williams was from. There was an Elisha Williams in Martin Co., NC in 1800 married to Elizabeth Biggs. I have not been able to find names of the children of the Elisha listed in Martin Co, NC 1800.

I am looking for the descendants of William Claiborne Williams (b. 1876) from Alabama. I believe his parents were George W. Williams (3/19/1856) and Martha Whitworth (2/14/1860) and his grandparents were William Williams and Sarah Avery. It appears Wm. Williams was from North Carolina; Sarah Avery was from AL and they were married in AL. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

my grandfather Clyde Benjamin Williams b june 14 1902 D sept 24 1957 he died in VA hospital in Iowa City Iowa of tb. He married My grandmother Mary Etta jordan b april 24 1903 d Oct 11 1987 and they had 7 girls one who died at a young age Lila Mae b july 8 1927 dFeb 19 1937.At sometime they lived In Stephens co. Ga. He left my grandmother when she was pg with youngest dau b 1935 and did not show up until his death. He is buried at Liberty Hill cemetery in toccoa, Ga. with my grandmother and Lila Mae. His obit said his father
was Bill Williams and mother Lillie Heath. brothers John K. Birmingham Ala. Robert Talullah Fall Ga. Freeman Cornelia Ga. Floyd Clarkesville Ga. Jimmy Waynesville NC Billy Oagland CA. Jimmy and Billy were twins. I am at a brick wall because of so many Williams families. Please if you can.

I saw a picture of Levi Williams 3 sons and Rice, Henry C's brother looked like my dads double,Scary.Levi was the military capt in Illinois who went after Joeseph Smith.

Father of James M. Williams is SAMUEL WILLIAMS, per marriage bond.

All research (hired and personal) have found no records of the parents of Richard Davis Williams. (Not to be confused with Richard D. Williams, huntsville, NC---same area).
I would appreciate any help. 6 Generations lived in same area of Rockingham County then just dries up at Richard Davis Williams.
also, anyone with information on James M WIlliams and Samuel Williams would be greatly appreicated.

His Father name is unknown, said to be born in Germany
his Mother's name unknown, Censes states she was born in Massachusetts. I was told by the family that he was raised by his Aunt and Uncle. that is all I have to go on. Please can someone help me?

I have Corneluis Williams, B 1844 in the Netherlands. He and his wife, Johanna Van Dyke, come to the US and settled in Wisconsin. I haven't been able to find them by that spelling of their names in www.genlias.nl. I have however found Corneluis Wilms and Johanna Van Dijk.

Has anyone else found something similar or know where I could find something about this specific name change?

George W Williams was born about 1839 in Ohio and passed in 1925. He married Lavina M in 1876. I cannot find any information on Lavina M, her maiden name, etc. One of George and Lavina's sons was my grandfather John Milton Williams who married Annabelle Upshaw in Missouri.

George was the son of John B Williams and Francinah Adams Blue. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
