My grandfather was William Kelly Williams(b. 27 Jan 1864). His death certificate 4 Apr 1950, says he was born in Brunswick County, NC.
The story is that his mother died and he was not treated well by his step-mother and his brother George (b.12 Oct 1858)& he ran away and came to McIntosh County, Georgia. He married my grandmother 05 Jan 1892. I have tried several times to find his family in records but have failed. The fact that it is said his father's name is William Williams is just from talking to him when I was a child. His brother, George, married Mary Ophelia Young in McIntosh County and when George died 23 Mar 1914, his wife and children went to Beneau Beach, SC.
Think it was to be near other relatives. Have been in touch with one of those descendants and we have gotten no further than my grandfather George.

I am looking for information on the parents of George Williams, my g-g-g-g grandfather, who was born about 1809 and married Sarah Jones in Chowan Co., NC. I suspect he came from the Isle of Wight Williamses who spread to Bertie and Chowan Counties, but I can't find the connection.

I'm looking for information on my 2nd great grandfather, Joseph Williams. All I know about him is that he lived in Fredericksburg, VA in 1850 and had a son, my great grandfather, Charles Edward Williams born in 1855 in Fredericksburg, VA.

Joseph moved to District of Columbia with his son.

I'm told that Joseph married a Catherine Bullock. His wife Catherine passed away before he moved or during the move to DC.

Joseph died in District of Columbia, do not know what year he died.

Would appreciate any information that could help me.

I have reached a brick wall with my great-grandfather, John Williams. According to his marriage certificate he was the son of Thomas Williams and Jane Cooper. We understand that he was born in California c. 1851.

He married Mary Ann Kelly of St. John, N.B. in 1875. Mary Ann was the daughter of Michael Kelly and Ann Bradly (sp?).

John was a seaman. He died in Massachusetts in 1924. His children include Gertrude Williams who was born in New Brunswick in 1881.

I have no further information on him, but hope someone may have broken through this brick wall.

My lineage comes from dora william of missouri who married george ward also of missouri. Her father was James wesley william and his father was william Alden williams of kentucky who moved to missouri. I can not find any more on him or his wife lucinda jane humphries

My Great Grandmother was Nancy Williams Taylor Willis. She is the sister of Milton McClure Williams. There Mother and Father were Lucretia Stacy ( a full blooded Cherokee Indian) and William Williams. Milt and His wife Elizabeth Bowman, are buried at the Petermans Bend Cemetary which is located on a private farm off Peterman Bend road just out side of Celina, Tennessee. Nancy is buried at the Mammoth Spring, Arkansas Cemetary. Nancy Williams Married Joe Taylor and had one child, Myrtle Taylor. Joe Taylor was killed when Myrtle was very young (about 4 years old). Nancy then married James E. Willis of Celina and they moved to Mammoth Spring, Ar. in the late 1800s. Myrtle was my Grandmother.

Descendants of William Williams of "West Parish" near Fairfield CT(b. abt. 1711, d. abt. 1761 NY). Married Grace Lockwood (of Fairfield, CT).
Four Children by Wm Williams + Grace Lockwood; all believed to be born in Fairfield.

Williams family later moves to Courtlandt NY; Grace and William either divorce, or Grace dies about 1742.

William marries Dorothy Blackman in 1744, moves to Nobletown (Hillsdale) NY. (no children by Dorothy)

Phebe Williams b. abt. 1735(m. John Lewis of Nobletown NY in about 1762-1769, John may be born NY/CT/MA; two known children Samuel b. abt. 1770 and Dunning b. 1772)

Elizabeth Williams(m. abt. 1757/9 George Patchen of Weston CT)

Anna (m. abt. 1757/9 George Scott of Philipse Patch NY)

It is believed that this William Williams MAY be descendant from either (Rev John MA > Rev Eleazer MA/CT; or Rev William Sr MA > Rev William Jr MA/CT or one of the other related Williams branches from MA/CT). Williams family owned land in multiple counties. Grace Lockwood's family owned considerable land in Faifield CT. Thus, it is believed that John Lewis would be from a family that was also reasonably well-to-do.

Would like any information re which branch of the Williams. Most likely from MA/CT, and this line would have arrived 1620-1700.

My father was Elmer E. "Chief" Williams,born in 1914 in Oklahoma,his father was Eli Williams, born in 1889 in Indian Territory, Oklahoma, and my Great Grandfather was Jasper Williams. born in 1854. His lists he was born in Tennessee with his father named Jas. Williams and his mother's name was Mary. I cannot find anything about Jasper before the 1900 Census which shows he's a widower. I knew this, and he had two other children Eddie and Lucy. If anyone knows anything about Jasper, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks

Margaret Elizabeth Williams married a Newitt, and Taylor. Think she was from either PA or VA.

Need to find the 13th Indian Ledyard, CT Census of
May 1900 & also 1910. I was told that my great granddad and his dad were there on the census. May help me prove that they were on the Tribal Reservation at that time. Their names :Jackson R. Williams and Amanuel Williams or Manuel Williams all were there in that time frame!
Also looking for a Charles Williams from WVA of PA
