Williams Lineages Underway
This
section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they
are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall
you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either
have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!
And, as another improvement to the site, you can now add your own lineage to the list without having to email me directly! Simply visit the lineage submission form and follow the instructions! It's as easy as that!

To think that most people can't give their own geiieolognes back more then a couple of generations, yet the bible gives us 42 generations is astounding. Most folks live about 3 score and 10, or about 70 years, yet many in Jesus' genieology lived hundreds of years, and then no real written history?!?! Amazxing!@ KatyWe too live in Pennsylvania actually in N. Western Pa. to be exact. We too look for a place to fellowship, but till then we meet whenever and where ever the Lord leads. Your family would certainly be welcome to join us. We do travel up and down 79, 80, and the turnpike to meet occasionally as far east as Bedford Pa. My email is Let us know if you have success in finding a Godly fellowship, will you please Katy? In the mean time, we are available, and I enjoy your blogsite too Katy!Manfred, thanks for sharing, brother!

My Williams roadblock is my GGGrandfather, ELZA WILILAMS,
b. 1811 in Ohio. Moved to Illinois in 1819. Married ELIZA MCPHERSON,in Morgan County, Ill on 22 July 1829. They eventually had 13 children, mostly born in Illinois where they are on the 1850 census in Freedom Township. In 1853, they went to the Sacramento California area where they farmed and he died in 1882.
While I know a great deal About his immediate family and his descendents, I have been unable to find anything about his parent or siblings, or where he was born in Ohio.

I am looking for my Williams (Welsh(?)/ Native American Indian) ancestry out of Buena Vista, Virginia and into Pennsylvania, West Virginia.
I am stuck with my gg grandfather and other ancestors beyond him. . We have his name as B. F. Williams. His birth would have been around 1848. The wife we have is named Lydia (?). Not sure, but family stories say she had Indian ancestry from the Cherokee lines. My dad said he was told that everyone in the family called B. F. Williams by his initials. We have an aunt who said his name was Benjamin Franklin Williams. That has not been proven either. My g grandfather (BF's son) was Henry Harrison Williams b: 19 Oct 1869, Buena Vista, Virginia. He married Bettie "Ella" Rowsey in 1892. Bettie "Ella" died 11 Mar 1915 in Buena Vista. The Williams Some of the family moved after that and worked in the shipyard during WWI in Norfolk, Va. We think Lydia (BF's wife) died there and was buried in that area but we are really not sure. Henry and Bettie "Ella" had six children
1. Jesse Williams, b: 1893, Buena Vista, Va, lived in (?), West Virginia.
2. Mae (Marie)(?) Williams (Miller), b: 1895, Buena Vista, Va, lived in Charlottesville, Va
3.Claud Henry Williams, b: 1897, Buena Vista, Va, , lived in Modesto, Calif.
4. Harry Lee Williams, b: 1901, Buena Vista, Va, after WWI he lived in Stockton, Calif. He is my grandfather. I never met him he died in 1946. He brought his father and all but two siblings to California.
5. Rodger Franklin Williams, b: 1903, Buena Vista, Va, lived in Modesto, Calif.
6. Edith Virginia Williams (Yool), b: 1905, Buena Vista, Va, lived in Berkeley, Calif.
Henry Harrison Williams remarried in 1913. Anna Sue was her named but we do not know her maiden name. They had two children.
1. Harrison Oscar Williams, b: 1914 in Va or Pa, lived in Modesto, Calif.
2. Morris Edward Williams, b: 1916 in Va or Pa. Lived in Stockton, Calif.
Harry Lee Williams, Sr. married Lucinda "Pearl" Harmston Dooley. Harry's favorite aunt was Belle Williams. She lived in the Buena Vista, Va. When she died he bought a huge spray of flowers for her coffin.
Harry and Pearl had two children.
1. Betty Jo Williams (Moreno), b: 1930 in Stockton, Calif.
2. Harry Lee Williams, b: 1939 in Stockton, Calif. He is my father.
If anyone can help me with this Virginia/ Pennsylvania/ West Virginia, Williams side please contact me at lebo6@sbcglobal.net. My tree is located at www.PearlCat500@tribalpages.com. Contact me and I will give you the visitor password. Hopefully someone can help me get going again. Thanks for your help, this is a tall brick wall.
I am a military wife currently in Oklahoma City area. If you need me to do a find a grave pic or check records let me know.
