Williams Lineages Underway
This
section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they
are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall
you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either
have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!
And, as another improvement to the site, you can now add your own lineage to the list without having to email me directly! Simply visit the lineage submission form and follow the instructions! It's as easy as that!

It doesn't look like anyone has been on this site for awhile, but I need help. So here it goes. I am looking for more information on my g g grandfather and grandmother. He is Lewis Wilson Williams b. 6 June 1831 d. 19 June 1813 in Wayland MO. His father, I believe, is Ebenezer Williams and his mother is Elizabeth Goodwin. I have a copy of his obituary that states he was a captain during the civil war serving four years with the 39th Missouri Volunteer Infantry. That he has eleven children and was married twice. I know his second wife was Mary Lucinda Davidson. His first wife was my g g grandmother. Our family knew her as "Medie" I have know idea what her real name is. She is buried in Wolf cemetery, Saint Francisville, Clark Co. MO. not to far from g g grandpa. The problem is the headstone only has her initials and reads as L.A. Williams wife of L.W. Williams b. 1844 d. Jun 21, 1877.

Researching my husbands family tree. His ggggrandfather was Richard Williams, born about 1805 Tennessee, who married Lucinda Hannah Coates in Madison, Mississippi. He died about 1853 in Mississippi and is buried in the Thames Graveyard near Little Rock Mississippi (Thames were his wife's relations, his wife's sister and her husband,if I recall rightly). Richard was supposed to have had a plantation. They also might have been in Greene, Alabama, but mainly Neshoba, Newton, or Lauderdale Counties in Mississippi. Richard was supposed to be of English descent and perhaps his father was named Henry? Or his middle name was Henry. Anyway his parents might have been from North Carolina before going to Tennessee. I am wondering if his family might have been related to the Lucy Williams who married John Bell as Robertson County was mentioned in one place.
