Williams Lineages Underway

This section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!

And, as another improvement to the site, you can now add your own lineage to the list without having to email me directly! Simply visit the lineage submission form and follow the instructions! It's as easy as that!

I am researching Jonathan Williams, b 17 March 1764 in the Colony of Connecticut. My brick wall is the names of Jonathan's parents. From what we've found so far, Jonathan was apprenticed to a shipbuilder but ran away and enlisted in Revolutionary War in Danbury, CT in 1778. After the war, he moved to NC where he married Francis Cowart and had 8 children. Francis died and Jonathan married Sarah Bond Clark. They had one child, Jonathan Wright Williams in 1818. The family moved to Pike County, Alabama with a land grant due to Jonathan's service. Jonathan died 11 March 1836. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

Am trying to discover the parents of Mary Ann Williams who married Abraham Byer Ramer on August 28, 1849 in Village of Stouffville, Canada West. The two were married by Rev. Ludwick Kribs, a Congregational minister. The witnesses were Samuel Stouffer and Elizabeth Shirk. Her dates are 1827-1876. They resided in Markham Township on lot 15 concession 7.

I have been trying to determine this for some 20 years but every avenue has turned into a dead end. I had thought that her death registration would state her father's name but for some reason, her death was not registered.

Thanks all

My father is Earl Lee Williams, his father was Vearl Lee Williams married to Bessie Jewell Williams, his father was Calvin Fred Williams married to Pearl Elizabeth Flynn, his father was Alexander B. F. Williams married to Exelina Williams. I am not sure if Alexander's father is A.B.F. Williams or Samuel Williams. I seem to be stuck. They are from Georgia or Alabama. My Grandfather's generation eventually ended up in Arkansas then Missouri.

I am the grandson of Robert Wesley Williams Sr. born in 1933 in Le Mars, Iowa. He was born to William Claude Williams Sr. and Elizabeth Wiebersch and married Patricia Young in 1962. I am trying to look for information on William's parents and beyond. I have come to believe that his fathers name is Lou Williams and his mothers name is Christina Winch. Any information at all would be very much appreciated.
