This is more specifically directed to Don Jones, who left an earlier post about Llewellyn and Jane Williams. He has not responded, so I leave this here.
I am tracking some Williams from Wales who resided in Frostburg, Allegany County, Mardyland. Their first appearance is in the 1870 US Census there:
Williams David 43 Miner Wales

" " Henry 16 Miner Wales
They also had a daughter Jane, who was born in 1850 in Wales and married Llewellyn Williams in June 1867.
David Williams' parents were Thomas Williams (b. 1791, Llanarth, Cardiganshire) and Jane Davies (b. 1788, Cilcennin, Cardiganshire). They were resident in Lampeter, Cardiganshire in the 1841 Wales Census. Since there are IGI birth records for their children as David Michael c. 13 Apr 1827 and Benjamin Michael c. 25 Dec 1829, as well as the facts that their eldest son was named Michael Williams (age 20 in 1841) and that Mary Michael (age 85 in 1841, died 04 Sep 1844 in Lampeter, noted as "widow of a tucker", attended by Jane Davies, her daughter-in-law), I suspect their original surname was Michael. Thomas and Jane Williams stayed in Lampeter for the 1851 Census, but David and Benjamin Williams had moved onto Bedwellty Parish, Monmouthshire, by 1851 and were miners. Frances was also shown in that census, as well as a 2-yr-old David and a 4-mo-old Jane Williams at 126 Old Colliers Row.

My brick wall is Elisha Williams (b. 1809, MS). He emigrated to Texas with his two brothers and his sister: William "Buckskin" Williams (b. circa 1810), John T. Williams (b. circa 1811) and Christiana. Unfortunately, Elisha had only one son(Starling) by his second wife and that son had only one son(Jesse Lee). Jesse Lee had two sons: Burl, (killed in the Battle of the Bulge)had one son while Corbory had three sons, but my two sons are the only grandsons. I did the DNA project, but I am not related to any of the participants within the last 200 years.

My brick wall is David Henry Williams, my GG-Grandfather. He appears to use his middle name Henry. I know he was born in TN around 1868 as was his Father and Mother. He died in Collin County, TX in 1940.
My GG-Grandmothers name is Josephine, she goes by Josie. Her name is spelled Jocifine in the 1910 U.S. Census. I believe this is misspelled as most of her children's names are as well. She was also born in TN around 1866.
I found a marriage certificate that seems to match these two fairly well but can't confirm. Henry Williams married Josie Killman 9/22/1891 in Sumner County, TN. The timeline seem fairly close but not perfect. She would have been 25, him 23. Their first child was born sometime around 1890-1891 as he was 20 in the 1910 census.
Their children were Grover H. who possibly went by the nickname Bud, Oscar H. my G-Grandpa, White, Homer, Delia, Daisy and Cilis.
I can not locate any of them in the 1900 U.S. Census.
As of the 1910 census they resided in Lee County, Rose Hill Virginia. I do know that Oscar enlisted for WWI in Rose Hill.
As of the 1920 census they were all in Nacogdoches, TX which makes sense as family stories indicate Oscar told his future bride Martha to meet him there to marry.
At some point during the 20's most of this family ended up in Collin County, TX. David Henry, Josephine, Oscar, Martha & Delia are buried at Chambersville Cemetery.
My Grandfathers name is James Dennis Williams (J.D.)he was born in Collin County 1932. He was the youngest son of Oscar & Martha.
My Dad's name is Dennis Keith Williams. He was born in McKinney, TX 9/14/1954.
I do have a few leads on David Henry's father but no concrete evidence. I located a Marian & Francis Williams in Marshall County, TN with a 12 year old son named Henry in the 1880 U.S. Census. Marian would have been born aroud 1824.
I also found a J.M. Williams in Smith County, TN born around 1836. As of the 1870 U.S. Census he had a son D.H. Williams aged 3.

I am looking for anyone who can help me find the linage of my fathers famly.We know alittle about the family but would love to find out more and where exactly where we came from.Beginning here is the information we have.Andrew Jackson Williams was born 11/03/1838 in Madison Co.,AR.and died 12/1916.He married Sarah Jane Young in 1864.she was born 04/11/1843 and died 08/15/1893.They had eight children:Eliza Jane Williams born 1865,Thomas Franklin born 1867,Sallie F.born 1871,Nancy,Mary,Martha,and Belle Williams.My Greatgrandmother is Sallie who had 4 children Maude,Troy,Rufus,and Mae.My grandfather was Rufus,and my father was Millard Henry Williams.All of Sallie's children lived and grew up in the central part of Ok.where we mostly all live now.Would love to see pics or find other family members please email me at the address above.

I am looking for the parents of Delilah Williams. She was married to Henderson Frier. Delilah was born in Bertie County, NC in 1780. Henderson was born in Bertie County, NC in 1775. I have seen some research that states Delilah Cain and John Williams are her parents but I have not seen any proof of this and the birth date shown for Delilah Cain would make it impossible for Delilah Cain to be Delilah Williams' mother because it shows Cain born after Williams. I am definitely at a "brick wall". Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My brick wall is my gggrandfather, Arthur Williams. He appears in the Franklin Co., NC 1850 census - age 65 putting his birth at about 1785. He was married to Catherine Sherin. Their children were Floyd, Penelope, and Wesley. Arthur's father name might have been Floyd.

I am looking for information on the parents of Pleasant Williams of Stokes Cty, NC. Pleasant married first wife Nancy Jane Cook and second wife Martha Morris and lived in Big Stone Gap, VA. Pleasant died in 1873.
His children with Nancy:
William, Harvey, Sarah Elizabeth, James, John and Nancy Jane. Wife Jane dies in child birth with Nancy Jane in 1855 at Lee County, KY
His children with Martha:
Jasper, Isaac Newton (lst), Doctor Franklin
After Pleasant's death Martha moved to Wolfe County, KY.
If anyone can add information to this, I will appreciate it very much. I have taken a DNA sample of male decendent and I am awaiting the results.

Looking for infor on Wm K Williams b abt 1805 in GA m Seana Barnet 05 Sept 1848 in Laurens Co, GA. The 1870 Laurens Co census lists 4 children: Fanny age 20,Heron J 16, Joseph 14, William 9. Son, William m Sarah E Warren 13 Mar 1884 and had 8 children. They divorced. She remarried 10 Oct 1908 in Laurens Co to Willie Scarborough. William L remarried after 1930 to a Claudia unk.
William Kinsey (could be McKinley) Williams and Seanna Barnett are my brick walls. Any info welcomed.

My mother was a Williams,Born 8/27/1926 Wilson Co.,NC to Ruth Proctor and Robert(S.or Lee)Williams.They had two sons Vernon,john Rufus,daughters,Daisy,Helen Estelle,Delphia Marie,Mildred Ruth and Jeanette Hester.My grandfather Robert had a brother Johny(?)that may have owned a furneral home in Va. Beach. I have also heard he owned property in Fla. I can't find any info about my family. HELP!
