Williams Lineages Underway

This section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!

And, as another improvement to the site, you can now add your own lineage to the list without having to email me directly! Simply visit the lineage submission form and follow the instructions! It's as easy as that!

I have done lots of research on the family but I have hit a brick wall at Thomas. Can you help me? He was married in Chesterfield Co., Virginia in 1810 to Mary Miles and I am not sure if she came from Va. or Ky. He was born abt. 1800 give or take one year. he is in the 1850 census as being 50 years old. I can not find his father or mother and this is my problem. I can find no wills or anything.

Ezra Parker Williams born in Ohio 1802. Ezra's parents were either from BC or Canada? Have not been able to find his parents or any information prior to 1850. My aunt advised me several years ago E. P.'s parents were from BC or Canada??? Have not proved this as of date.

From the 1850 census Franklin Parish Louisiana: Parker Williams 44 (1802) Ohio Ohio Ohio, Caroline 38 (1812) Mo. ? ?, Joromine 18 (1832) Miss. Mo. Ohio, Emiline 14 (1836) Miss. Mo. Ohio, Franklin 13 (1837) Miss. Mo. Ohio, Olivio 11 (1839) Miss. Mo. Ohio, Francis 7 (1834) La. Mo. Ohio, Philip (Felix) 2 (1848) La. Mo. Ohio, Charles 2 months La. Mo. Ohio

Caroline and Charles, Joromine, Emiline, Franklin, Olivio and Francis were not on the 1860 census. I feel Caroline died as well as some of the children ... maybe some of the children married and left home? Can't seem to find them.

From the 1860 census Franklin Parish Louisiana: Ezra Parker 55 (1802) Ohio, Elizabeth 22 (1832) La. La. La., Felix 13 (1848) La. La. La. (?) seems his mother is Elizabeth, George 6 (1854) La. La. Ohio, Cynthia 5 (1855) La. La. Ohio, Ezra Jr. 4 months(1860) La. La. Ohio

Elizabeth, Cynthia and Ezra ParkerJr., have died before 1862-63. The family is filled with heartache and sadness from the records I have found.

From the 1870 census Franklin Parish Louisiana: Parker 67 (1802) Ohio Ohio Ohio, Eliza Jane 39 (1831) La. La. La., G. W. (George) 17 (1854) La. La. Ohio *Caroline/Ezra's son, Robert Lee 6 (1865) La. La. Ohio * my ggrandfather, J. L. 3 (1867) La. La. Ohio

From the 1880 census Franklin Parish Louisiana: E. P. 76 (1802) Ohio Ohio Ohio, Eliza Jane 50 (1854) La. La. La., Robert 15 (1865) La. La. Ohio

J. L. Williams did not show up on the census, assuming he died. George must have left home?

There are no 1890 census for Franklin Parish Louisiana.

Robert Lee Williams married Alice Byrd (Choctaw Indian) in 1890. Robert and Alice had two children ... my grandmother Louella and her sister Ola. Louella married James Osborn (Cherokee Indian) ... they had one child, my father James Lee Osborn. James Lee Osborn married Nettie Virginia Brown, three children came of this marriage.

I have a lot of information on the Benjamin Williams family of Chester Co., SC who died before 18 April 1796. He had 2 sons who fought in Revolution - William b 15 March 1753 and Moses b 8 Jan 1761. I thought for sure this was the family of Ben C. because some of Moses' family came to Fayette Co., AL and some of William's family came to Carroll and Montgomery Co., MS. However I have not been able to make the connection. The genealogist who researched for a decendent of Moses mentioned Robert Williams, Blacksmith, who sold land by deed 6 Dec 179l with wife, Elizabeth, not in 1800 Census, may have been a relative. Don't know if he was Robert who fought in Revolution.

I'm looking for any info on Uriah Williams in the 1700's. I believe that he lived in Va - came into NC ( Edgecombe Co) although I haven't been able to locate him there yet.

I do have information on Adam Williams -(ca 1778 - 1872) info from obit in newspaper stating that he was 94 years old. I believe could be the son.of Uriah as he named his oldest son Uriah -- who is my direct ancestor. My Uriah was in the Mexican War and died shortly after being discharged.

The newspaper stated that Adam was the father of 26 children all by the same wife (Sarah Rice). Adam was in Rev war (Pierce's Registry) and stationed at Moore's Creek Battleground near Wilmington NC - as was hisson in Law -- Joshua Goodson- of Duplin County NC

Some records states that Adam was possibly born in Wales.
