Williams Lineages Underway

  This section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!

   And, as another improvement to the site, you can now add your own lineage to the list without having to email me directly! Simply visit the lineage submission form and follow the instructions! It's as easy as that!

can u find out more about charles lincoln williams wife pearl ray she was born 24 feb 1881 in riley vigo indiana and i have as her parents edward freeman ray born 1859 in riley vigo co indiana and he died in 1883 in riley vigo indiana and her mother was hattie florence hathorn i do not have much to go on with hattie as i have her birth date as 1860 and death date unknown and i know she got married again after her husband edward died in 1883 so i would like any information on her as soon as you can find out anything. thank you you can email me at the email above or at kristin539190@yahoo.com also.

My grandfather was Johnnie W. Williams in Alabama My Great grandfather was James A. Williams 1860 Alabama this is where I have hit a brick wall. The 1910 cencus says that his father was born in Alabama but I can't find him. If anyone knows this line please email

My Williams ancestor is Richard Williams born in Wotten-under-Edge, Gloucestershire and a found of Taunton, Massachusetts. My mother is a Williams and our family has done research on this Williams line, as have many other relatives who I have met for the first time online. We have a Williams tree on www.geni.com and I have a Richard Williams project there as well. Our family has the tradition that Richard Williams was Welsh and I would love to see the DNA project show that indeed, this branch was Welsh. I do have a question. I did the Family Finder Test, not the mTDNA test, because I wanted to know about all sides (and especially about my gg grandfather Frankel on my father's side). I would like to see Williams like me who did the autosomal Family Finder or the other autosomal tests on www.gedmatch.com comparing their results. I would like to know if Roger Williams and Richard Williams were related. I am ALSO a direct descendant of another Williams line -- John Williams (c 1600- 1674) of Haverhill, MA.

I am looking for ancestors of J.P. Williams family of NE PA. My ggg grandfather Joseph P. Williams was born in PA in 1826. His father's name is unknown but was born in CT and his mom from RI. JP Williams married Irene Cole around 1850 in PA and had 10 children including Perry, Isaiah, Emaline Ruth, Ophilia, Frank, Leroy, Julia, Myrtle and Uriah. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i have been doing my family tree for a few years, i can't figure out where my family tree goes i got as far as thomas shipp and minnie newsom 1510 i can't seem to find out who they were and who they are related to i know that there is a royal blood line but im not sure if it is france or england lines or both. can you please help me?

Lena Williams was born in 1888 in Scott Co. MS to Alfred Williams and Sarah Angeline Vickery. Alfred Williams' parents were Wiley Williams and Elizabeth unknown.
Other children of Alfred Williams and Angeline are:

Albert 1891
Henry 1894
Dolly Belle 1896
They were on the census in Madison Co MS in 1900 and the census in Lauderdale Co MS in 1910.
Lena Williams gave me this information in 1945. She married James Kye Clay Jr. in Lauderdale Co MS about 1906.

My husband's mother was Marguerite Williams, daughter of Johnson and Elsie (Harbert) Williams, son of Israel Williams, son of Elias Williams. Elias was born in Va 1788 and died in Doddridge Co, WV ab 1850. He married Honora Trenary March a807 in Frederick co , Va. I can trace Elias' linage back further. I would like to find his parents and country of origin.

Willis Williams moved to USA to Illinois. Father was the inventor of a gas stove model in the late 1800 hundreds. Willis followed fathers footsteps into engineering. Also, was a hobby wood inlay carpenter. Son of Willis entered the armed forces and was married 7 times (yup nothing like diluting the line). However it appears that the males, Willis and Willis (william william) born around 1922 or so. Were all only children.

I am looking for Herman Williams, grandson to Anthony Clement who had a plantation about 4 miles west of Sharon, Weakley County, TN. Anthony Clement was my great great grandfather.
