Williams Lineages Underway
This
section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they
are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall
you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either
have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!
And, as another improvement to the site, you can now add your own lineage to the list without having to email me directly! Simply visit the lineage submission form and follow the instructions! It's as easy as that!

Mother : Becky Williams
Becky's Father was Carroll Joseph Williams
Carroll's father was Kyle Williams (Pike county AL Born 1918)
Kyle's Father was Edd Williams (Pike County, AL Born 1889)
Edd's father was George Williams (Pike CO, AL Born 1864)
George's father was Godfrey Williams (Georgia, born 1823)
I don't know Godfrey's dad's name yet, but according to the census taken in 1880, Godfrey's dad was born in CT, and his mother was born in GA. It is possible that his father was married in GA as that is where his wife was from.

I am trying to find out more information (siblings, heritage, parents, etc) of a James Williams who was born in 1815. I'm not sure where he was born but he was a farmer in the coal mining area of SE Kentucky by 1850. He was married to Jane (Jenny) Baker and they had a son named Jackson (Jack) Bishop Williams. Jenny's family had come from NC- or maybe she just came from there with James, I am not sure.
Jenny's parents were Mary "Polly" Campbell and John Jackson Baker.
James and Jenny's son, Jack, was married twice. His first wife was (Mary) Polly Jane Joseph, and his second wife was Cassa (Cassie) Wells. They stayed around Perry County, Ky, and had many children, including Mallie, Mathias, Andy, and Maggie. These children were born between the late 1880's and early 1900's.
