Williams Lineages Underway

This section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!

And, as another improvement to the site, you can now add your own lineage to the list without having to email me directly! Simply visit the lineage submission form and follow the instructions! It's as easy as that!

I have hit a brick wall. I am trying to find Almon(d) H. Williams, my gg-grandfather. On public records, it shows he was born in 1848 one of his sons wrote that he was born on July 13, 1864. Almond married Nellie Mae Rideout on May 27, 1891. They had 7 children:
1. Edwin C. b. Oct 16, 1892 in Brunswick, ME
2. Warren Eugene b. Feb 10,1895 in Brunswick, ME
3. John Hathorne b. Oct 7, 1896 in Brunswick, ME
4. George A b.1901
5 .Herber(t) Eugene 1902
6. Clearence Leroy 1904
7. Frederick T. b. 1907 (great-grandfather)
Almond and Nellie divorced on April 2, 1917. Both my grandfather Williams and his uncle Edwin, has noted that Almond was a sea captain. If anyone has any information, please let me know. And if any of you think we are related, I would love to connect.

I am looking for information concerning Thomas Williams who resided in Wrens,Georgia - Jefferson County - in the early 1800's. Thomas was a preacher and married to Annie - a full blooded Choctaw Indian.
Their union produced 12 children. I don't have all of the childrens names but seven of the 12 where:
George Thomas (Maude Lloyd); Lulu Williams (? Sapp) who resided in Thomasville; Robert "Bud"; Saddie (Edgar Berry) and resided in Savannah; Mamie; Lonnie and Alzada.

Thomas Williams was African American with a very fair complexion and it is believed that he passed for Caucasian. It is also believed that there were relatives of this family in the Savannah area.

In the early 1900's, George, Robert and Saddie all settled - at various times - in Detroit, Michigan.

I am the granddaughter of George Williams who had three sons with his wife Maude Lloyd - George Thomas Jr (Eleanor Stallings), Robert Berry (Louise Loomis) and Theodore "Kent" (Edith).

It is believed that George Thomas Sr was the only sibling to have off-spring.

I believe he was born in Hardin County, KY. My great grandfather was Andy Williams but I know nothing about him. I am just starting in this because I am now a grandfather and I want to leave a electronic book to my grand children so they know their family history. Any help would be appreciated.

Roderick Williams married Elizabeth Evans 18 Feb 1778 Llandeilo’r-fân, Breconshire, Wales. He died 11 Jan 1805 Llandeilo’r-fân. He is most likely the same person as Roderick Williams alias Powell who married Elinor Jeffreys 21 Dec 1753 Llandeilo’r-fân (Elinor Powell was buried 17 Aug 1776 Llandeilo’r-fân). Roderick Williams alias Powell was probably a son of William Powell.

Daniel Williams, son of Roderick Williams & Elizabeth Evans, was born 23 Aug 1783 Llandeilo’r-fân. He married Ruth Jones 16 Apr 1805 Llywel, Breconshire, Wales. He died 18 Dec 1870 Samaria, Oneida, Idaho.

John Jones Williams, son of Daniel Williams & Ruth Jones, was born 12 Aug 1824 Llandeilo’r-fân. He married(2) Mary Jones 27 Feb 1857 Salt Lake City, Utah. He died 10 Jan 1899 Malad, Oneida, Idaho.

Azariah Franklin Williams, son of John Jones Williams & Mary Jones, was born 20 Dec 1857 Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah. He married Elizabeth Merrifield Denning 4 Mar 1885 Logan, Cache, Utah. He died 24 Nov 1926 Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho.

John J Williams, son of Azariah Franklin Williams & Elizabeth Merrifield Denning, was the father of Duane Howard Williams. Duane Howard Williams is my father (Kyle D Williams).

Am re-posting since email change, I soooo hope someone out there can help me!

On a 1900 Jackson County, Kentucky census, my gr. grandfather is listed:

George Williams b. 1836 Germany parents b. Germany

He is married to my gr. grandmother, Susie Cates Johnson (she is divorced from Bill Johnson)

Children:

Liza Johnson (from Susie's first marriage) 10 yrs. old
Velma Williams (my grandmother) 5 yrs. old (b. 1895)
Guy Williams age 4 (b. 1896)
Ammon Williams age 1 (b. 1900)

George and son Guy dissapear after this, I have been told Guy died young. Also that thier first child was named Mason, but died before 1900. Susie shows up again in 1910 Madison Co. Ky census with only Velma and Ammon, listed as widow. George and Guy are buried in family cemetery, but have only fieldstones, no dates. No family left that remembers anything
